Who we are

This notice explains how Univelcity Ltd uses personal information when you visit the Longhorn website or talk to us through the chat on it.

Longhorn is a product of Univelcity Ltd, which is the data controller. Univelcity Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 14878502, registered office London, UK.

What this notice does not cover. When an organisation uses Longhorn to interview its own staff, Longhorn runs inside that organisation's environment and the organisation is the controller. Its own privacy notice explains how it uses that information.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us in the chat, plus the basic records any website server keeps.

We do not use analytics, advertising tags, tracking pixels or session recording, and every font and image is served from this website. If you close the chat before pressing Send, nothing is sent to us.

Why we use it

We use your information to reply to you and to prepare for the conversation you asked for. We never add you to a mailing list or use your answers for marketing.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have checked that the use is limited and expected for a business enquiry. You can object at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the founder reads your enquiry. We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the two service providers that run the website and our email, under contracts that limit them to acting on our instructions.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or with professional advisers under a duty of confidentiality.

Transfers outside the UK. Both providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified, or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for details.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry and chat transcript for 12 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. If we go on to work together, we keep what we need for that relationship under the terms of our contract with your organisation.

Server records are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period to run and protect the site, and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no similar technology. There is nothing to accept or decline.

Children

The website is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We will update this notice when how we use information changes, and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
